Is Medium suitable for technical blog posts?
Curious software engineer interested in building Microservices, with background on Backend Development Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, CI/CD, Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, Design Patterns. Constantly learning & playing with new technologies.
I have been using jekyll and github pages for a couble of weeks, it’s great because it’s customizable and easy to design and hack. it might not be perfect because of the way you add/write new posts.
So i was wondering if I should build my own blogging platform with the features that i need or i should just go with jekyll for a simple portfolio and move my blog posts to somewhere else ?
Many of you might have tried medium for writing technical blog posts, and i wanted to ask you, how was it ? is it easy to right big blocks of code in your posts, is the syntax gets highlighted or not ?
